Domestic Kitchens

Maxted Construction specialise in luxurious kitchen installations to make your dream kitchen a reality. Listing your priorities for your new kitchen will enable Maxted Construction to ensure the space available is used in the best way.

By removing the utility room and enlarging the kitchen, this customer was able to have the space for a large family kitchen and dining facilities all in one open plan room. Structural steels were required to be installed where the existing utility walls were removed. Maxted Construction also installed a vaulted ceiling over the dining area to give a different dimension to this section of the kitchen with switched LED down lighters on a separate circuit.

Maxted Construction installed a kitchen island as a feature and in contrast colours from the perimeter of the kitchen by installing a lovely solid oak worktop finished with resin heatproof sealer. Underfloor heating was also installed as the customer wanted to maximise the cupboard space on every wall and therefore requested no radiator. Underfloor heating is a fantastic luxurious product and can heat your floor economically and effectively.

The kitchen was installed with LED plinth lights around kitchen perimeter; including the island, LED wall unit lights and further LED down lighters within ceiling and to finish off, a stunning chandelier was installed over the island to give the whole kitchen the extra wow factor!

Ideas to help maximise your space:

  • Installing a kitchen island will give your kitchen a feature; but will also allow you to add extra storage space for all those kitchen essentials.
  • Curved units add a luxurious finish to your kitchen but allowing additional storage.
  • Storage cabinets under seating areas allows even more storage for family essentials.
  • Lighting such as LED strip lights can enhance the space within your kitchen.

Whatever your needs, give Maxted Construction a call to make your dream kitchen a reality.

Maxted Construction has built up a good reputation over the years for carrying out structural alterations and major property renovations. By removing large structural walls and installing steel I-beams hidden within ceilings; this can create a vast visual improvement to your property by opening up the space available. Maxted Construction carried out exactly this task in a kitchen in Broadstairs; by removing a structural wall between a utility room and kitchen which was supporting the complete upstairs flooring joists.  The result when completed was a transformation; which allowed the kitchen space downstairs to become much larger with more kitchen units installed for all important storage.  A window at the rear of the kitchen was removed and the structural opening was made larger to accommodate for the installation of catnic lintels.  This allowed Maxted Construction to install triple glazed U.P.V.C french opening doors leading from the kitchen into the garden, again bringing the property another dimension.

Maxted Construction was recommended to a client in Waltham, Kent by Howden’s Joinery to install a high specification kitchen.  Maxted Construction completed this project within budget and within the seven day promised completion time.  As you can see from the photos below, the project included solid worktops with under mounted ceramic sink incorporating draining board grooves within the worktop as per client’s specification.  Maxted Construction also installed under wall unit lighting and flush down lights within the kitchen ceiling for added effect.  The client was highly impressed with the outcome and has provided Maxted Construction with a testimonial:

"Rob and his team are very reliable and always on time. They work extremely hard and leave no mess at the end of the installation. We are very pleased with the final result. I cannot fault Maxted Construction in any way".

Upon a recommendation, a client contacted Maxted Construction to carry out the replacement of her kitchen. This included the removal of the existing kitchen, the re-plastering of ceilings and walls and the alterations of both electrical and plumbing works. The kitchen installation included all integrated appliances and was completed (including decoration) by Maxted Construction within a working week. The client was very pleased with the works carried out and has provided a testimonial below.

'I found Maxted Construction to be always pleasant and efficient.  Any question was dealt with quickly and a very good finish to everything. I would be very pleased to recommend them to anyone'

Maxted Construction came highly recommended to a customer in Whitstable from a large nationwide kitchen manufacturer. Maxted Construction met with the customer to carry out a site survey to understand the full extent of the customers needs. The team carried out the full scope works which involved moving appliances, plumbing alterations, the ceramic tiling of walls and floors and decoration to finish; all within the 4 working days which the client had specified. Another happy customer:

"Thank you so much for your hard work, professionalism, enthusiasm and a brilliant job well done. I appreciated your thoughtfulness and caring nature - all of the above matters to someone like me. Strange to say, but I'm going to miss the team being around!".

Howdens Joinery worked with Maxted Construction to provide the client with a bespoke kitchen that was in budget and completed within allocated timeframes specified by the client.  The old kitchen was removed and replaced by a kitchen that has a larger cubic capacity which allowed for more storage which of course made the client very happy!

This was our first project in 2012, for a customer who was looking for a fresh new kitchen to start her year!  Maxted Construction worked closely with the client to ‘design’ the kitchen around the clients needs and specifications, to ‘construct’ the kitchen to requirements and drawings; and to ‘maintain’ by ensuring appliances were in full working operation and fully functional for peace of mind.  The client was undecided on the colour specification to use on the walls and therefore decided to complete at a later date.  Below show the before and after pictures of the completed project.

A small local kitchen fitting company approached Maxted Construction Ltd to assist them in the installation of resin / acrylic kitchen worktops for a client in Margate, Kent. Resin / acrylic worktops give a seamless joint free finish around the whole of the kitchen giving that continuous look and feel. Maxted Construction have installed many resin / acrylic worktops and therefore we were the perfect company to call upon for this installation.

The client specified that they wanted an “under mounted worktop” sink to be installed and therefore requested draining board grooves to be routered within the worktop; as well as cut outs for the sink and gas hob. This was also carried out by Maxted construction.

The client was very happy with the results of the resin / acrylic kitchen worktop installation, and have since recommended Maxted construction to their friends and family.

The photos below show the results of how this material can be manipulated and still create amazing results.

A previous client re-approached Maxted Construction Ltd to replace their kitchen worktops within their property in Broadstairs, Kent.  This was due to the existing worktops becoming water damaged.  Also a raised joining bar had previously been used to connect the worktops together in which the client wanted removed and replaced by a seamless joint in the new worktops.

The photos below show the existing worktops with the raised joining bar between both worktops and the new worktops installed by Maxted Construction Ltd.
